Greetings music lovers, Please allow me to introduce myself, I am DJ Jimmy and this is my spin on all music all the time.
Tonight lets go back somewhere in the late 1970's-1980's a time when groups like; The Gap Band, The BarKays, and Lakeside were mainstream on the R&B stations they called their music Funk predicated on a groovy bass line. My question to all u hipsters, and funksters from back in the day is where did this music genre disappear to? Lets think on that for a moment and I will return, I promise. Holla back and let me know
DJ Jimmy :-)

ReplyDeleteLove the blog, Jim! I'm no hipster and have never heard of the bands you mentioned, but I'll keep tuning in here to listen. BTW, will you provide links to YouTube songs to go along with your posts. That's a request from this fan :)
