Rap and Roll into tomorrow!!! Hip Hop for All!!

Greetings music lovers, I am here on the late night Mothership an off shoot from the Parliament Funkadelic era, along w/ the main funkster, George Clinton. This is my Mothership, my home base, this is where the grooves flow and the ideas r mixed up and spread throughout the music sphere, ru on board with my concept? Tonight I feel like going back to Rap, the Old Skool style ala, Public Enemy, Run DMC, EPMD, LL Cool J, Krs-One, Mobb Deep, I know there are more who were the pioneers of Rap so I acknowledge all those artists who paved the Rap path for the likes  of today's masters of Rap; Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, TI, Young Jeezy, Nas, Eminem, Drake, etc. get the picture ? When Rap started there was feeling, cool lyrics, a statement, some vulgarity but not over the top. What happened? Rap like Sports and Entertainment has gotten way out of hand and over saturated making the product boring. The Old Skool Rappers owe it to today's artists to set them straight, politics, racial injustice, etc. are cool to rap about, and all the other issues can be used but don't abuse. Too many artists and not enough quality make for  dull and overused Rap not enough creativity. I guess what I am trying to say is Old Skool  no matter what genre will always be there now it needs to make a comeback with new Artists we can say Old Skool Rap w/a twist, a new flava (get it?) A new idea on an Old fave.
I believe I have ventured into the archives of Rap and tried to get out the message about the  Rap genre, lets take Rap into the 21st century with style and flair giving props to the Pioneers of Hip Hop, U know how we used to roll, can u feel my groove all u hipsters, funksters, and grooveaholics? Remember to take a ride into the stratosphere of music  when the sun goes down "The freaks come out at night"! (remember the song?)
My name is DJ Jimmyz and u have entered my world so now its time to sign off, Peace, Love and Soul to the  Music Universe :-)

  1. How do you feel about Yoga Rap?
Not sure if its your thing, but
I like MC Yogi these days, and his raps about breath control.. he uses the lyrics to get us into meditation, its pretty cool!
Happy days to you in the soul of the music universe,
